The article focuses on gender emancipation and the unawareness of few desperate parents particularly in India and China clandestinely opt for foeticide and infanticide in other words a Sex-selective abortion, and female infanticide.
The modern medical gadget more frequently used is ultrasound and amniocentesis, an analysis of amniotic liquor of pregnant women. However, its application is losing ground. These devices detect the fetus male or female. Some unscrupulous medical person reveal the female gender to the pregnant, resulting in Foeticide. The laws are strict but malpractice continue.
Unwed pregnant either abort or abandon the born infant. In most cases the medically unaffordable would-be-mothers, decide on the quacks, jeopardizing the life of both mother and infant.
The preference for a male child or trepidation over female is mostly based on cultural norms, poverty, and prevalence of expensive marriage system, mismatching boys to educated girls, dowry menace, and fear of eloping daughters on romance and male dominance. It is believed that marriages emanating from romance are unstable in most cases. Though the state of affairs is changing in urban locales, the rural and orthodox families are glued to ancestral cultures.
“Here is news to relate the entire article how the foeticide and infanticides are augmented for mere fear of certain unwanted societal customs.
“On February 4, 1988 three, unmarried sisters, Poonam, Kamini and Alka committed suicide in Kapur. Their suicide note made it clear that the three girls aged 22, 20 and 18 were forced to take this drastic step to relieve their low-income parents of the burden of dowry that had prevented them from negotiating a matches for any of them. In the same year, probably inspired by the headline-grabbing story, four sisters in Kerela also put an end to their lives prematurely. Two years later, in 1990, the three daughters of another couple in Nagpur who could not afford to meet dowry demands, killed themselves. More recently in 2000, four sisters living in Bihlai made news again for dowry deaths. All these cases prove that even in the 21st century, the social evil that our Indian Constitution has tried so hard to eradicate continues to plague middle-class homes”
Worshipping goddesses in India is invariably known. Wrath of Kali, Durga is not uncommon. She is also known as “Parasakthi” as “omnipotent”. Sita, wife of Ram was born to the earth as “Bhoo Devi”. A giant battle was fought to rescue her from Ravana. Nevertheless, it is pity that such a holy gender is too humiliated with “family bond” her being succumbed to family chores and male to distinguished and privileged rank. The equality between two genders is dissipated because of discrimination.
As per the 2001 census of India, the ration between male and female is 1000:933. Punjab has 1000:790.
There is an interesting reading a book “Bare Branches: The Security Implications of Asia’s Surplus Male population” by Valerie M.Hudson, Andrea Den Boer (The MIT Press). The authors warn the great imbalance in the sex ratio, and they present “comprehensive data on sex ratios and fascinating historical studies of social instability brought on by excess young males.”
One of the bloggers says that this book “warns that the spread of sex selection in India — and China — is giving rise to a generation of restless young men who will not find mates. “History, biology, and sociology all suggest that these surplus males will generate high levels of crime and social disorder,” the authors say. “Even worse,” they continue, “is the possibility that the governments of India and China will build up huge armies in order to provide a safety valve for the young men’s aggressive energies.”
Unless the society does not understand that female child is also great gift of Nature, with all the faculties of male, the rate female sex go down in an epidemic manner if killing of female fetus and femal infant continues and males will dominate female in promiscuously in all respect.
killed by my husband and in laws during my pregnancy , would like to share
my experience with the PC-PNDT act , and implementing authorities attitude.
I, got married to Dr Kamal Khurana on 28th November 2004.There was a lot of
dowry harassment initially. I became pregnant in Jan 2005. A transvaginal
ultrasound conducted in 6th week of pregnancy showed that I was carrying
twin babies. Then my mother in law started demanding sex determination. I
and my parents tried resisting it
My in laws and husband got that done by deception. They knew I was allergic
to egg. The fed me egg laden cake, telling me that it was egg less. I
developed allergic manifestations in the form of stomach ache, loose motions
and vomiting. Whole night I was left alone. Next morning my husband took me
to hospital, which was not the same from where I was undergoing my ante
natal tests. He and his mother accompanied me. I was admitted to the labour
room. The gynaecologist advised K.U.B (Kidney, ureter, bladder).ultrasound,
but the radiologist did the foetal ultrasound and asked me to get up and go.
I pointed out to him, that gynaecologist has ordered K.U.B. So than the
radiologist again asked me to lie down and did the K.U.B examination.
After this incident my husband and in laws started demanding that I get an
M.T.P. My mother in law asked me many times to at least get one child killed
in utero. I was kept without food and water. My husband was totally
ignoring me turned me out of the house at 10.p.m. in the night and asked me
to go to my father’s house. He said ”ja aapne baap ke ghar ja (go back to
your father`s house)” when I asked him to at least take my mobile, or my car
keys, as where I would go in pregnancy, to which he replied ”is ghar se kisi
cheez ko haath lagaya to thapar parega (if you take anything from this house
,I’ll slap you)”. My father in law intervened and asked my husband to let me
stay the night, and morning he could send me to my parents.
On 17 May 2005, after one such verbal abuse throughout the night, I
developed bleeding and threatened abortion, I was not even allowed to call
up my parents for medical help. I managed to call up my father in the
morning. After much persuasion by my father, my husband agreed to take me to
the nursing home, but he drove too rashly on the entire drive from Rohini to
JanakPuri. Thrice they tried to kill me or at least get me aborted after
which my father brought me back to my parent’s home.
My mother in law told me that two daughters would be a big burden on them,
and that I should give one of them up for adoption, get them aborted, or at
least one of them killed.
My in laws and husband hardly ever accompanied me for antenatal tests or
hospital visits after they came to know I am carrying daughters. My mother
did all that. My husband would frequently fight with me even in my parents’
house .He demanded D.N.A test because his mother had told him that some
priest had told them that he would be father of one son only. As I am
carrying two daughters, they cannot be his children.
Despite all this tensions, I delivered two-pre term daughters on
11/08/2005.My in laws never visited me for full 9 days. Then my sister in
laws, my mother in law, and my father in law came to visit me. One of my
aunts congratulated my sisters in law. They said ”God forbid, we ever become
bhuas of girls again” .My mother in law said, ”Anyway, they are born in
seventh month so they are not going to survive anyway”. My younger daughter
stayed in the nursery for almost one month. They did not pay the hospital
bills also, which were paid by my parents.
I tried multiple times to go back to my in laws house. However, there a lot
of verbal abuse, I had no help in looking after children. There was no love
or respect for children or me. I was not even sure my children and I would
be safe there. My mother in law deliberately pushed down my 4-month-old
daughter from the staircase and pretended it was an accident. Fortunately I
was able to hold her carrying cot and save her harm. They never showed any
love or affection towards them. Their grandparents & aunts have rejected
them totally.
I tried for full three years that my husband and in laws accept my
daughters, because I wanted to give my daughters a stable home. Though I had
complaint to the crime against women cell during my pregnancy itself about
the fact that sex determination was done, and was being pressurized for
M.T.P, but throughout I had requested them not to take any action as i
thought they would mend their ways and accept my daughters.
In March 2008, my husband threw me out in the middle of the night, and asked
me for a mutual divorce, because he wanted to remarry to have sons. It was
during this visit to my matrimonial house, that I cam across the discharge
papers, and reports of ultrasounds done during my pregnancy (those papers
had been always in the custody of my husband).
COMPLAINT UNDER PC-PNDT ACT AND ATTITUDE OF THE AUTHORITIES.
I filed a complaint to the women commissions, the health minister, and
various N.G.Os on 10th April 2008.I filed the complaint in P.N.D.T cell on
9th May 2008. When I got no reply from P.N.D.T authorities, I filed a R.T.I
application on 21st May asking them what they had done in my case.
On 5th June I got the reply that the Central Monitoring Committee along with
District Appropriate Authority (NORTH WEST DELHI) had raided the hospital on
3rd June 2008, and again I got a reply from District Appropriate Authority
that during raid it was found that no form F was filled. (Which is true-it
was never filled). Still no action was taken.
When my case was highlighted in media, I got a letter from District
Appropriate Authority asking me to appear before them and express my views.
I went to meet the C.D.M.O along with a friend, where I asked about the
value of my statement in this case; wherein I was told that the law needs to
be explored. I was also suggested that I should not do anything in the
spirit of youth, which I `ll repent later. I was also told that I should try
to reconcile with my husband, and the wish for a son was not something I
could not fulfil, as I could always get pregnant again.
I was also asked the benefit I’ll be getting if the ultrasound machine is
sealed, as the ultrasound machine was a very useful tool in the diagnostics,
and someone could have to suffer for the eventuality of the ultrasound
machine being sealed.
Lastly I was advised to inform the office, in case of resettlement with my
husband, so that the doctors are not troubled. Though it has been
established that the gynaecologist had asked only for K.U.B., and a detailed
foetal ultrasound has been done, no form F has been filled, and also I was
tortured during pregnancy to abort the babies, still no action is being
taken...
An enquiry committee was set up in august 2008, and even the report given in
that enquiry committee is totally biased. They have accepted all the
statements given by husband, in laws and doctor as the truth, and reported
my statements as contradictory to their statements. Also the fact that no
form was filled (which had been conveyed to me by the way of an R.T.I also)
was changed to that form F is not traceable. The enquiry report concludes
that no direct or circumstantial evidence of sex determination was found. It
also concludes in the same page that form F is not traceable (???) and my
name is not even present in the district records of the time. To find out,
weather sex determination in my case was done three years ago, all that has
been done is to send a decoy customer and report that no sex determination
was done in her case, so it was nt done in my case too.
My husband and in laws were aware of the report of the enquiry committee,
even without getting a copy of the report. They got the copy of report only
in Jan 2009, by way of a R.T.I application, but they have stated in their
bail application in November 2008, and December 2008 that the appropriate
authority have given them a clean chit after a detailed enquiry(???). that
in itself proves that the enquiry committee has given its report in
collision with all the accused.
I also met Joint Secretary Health and Family Welfare (central government),
who told me that they cannot take any action against my husband and in laws
as PC-PNDT act does not cover taking action against them (???). She advised
me to file a case under domestic violence and let it be.
I was shocked when Chair Person, National Commission of Women, also tried to
convince that since my daughters are alive I should withdraw my complaints
under PC-PNDT act and satisfy myself by just filling under domestic violence
act.
No answer is given about as to why the foetal ultrasound was done in the
first place, when it was never asked for. In the meantime all my letters to
central P.N.D.T department, state P.N.D.T department and Health and family
welfare Minister have gone unanswered. My pleas to well-known girl child
activists have gone unheard. They
have been passed of as simple emotional outbursts. Most of the social
activists I have contacted have refused to do anything to help me, a
question which I `d like to put forward when a women does come forward and
wants to fight for the life of her daughters-why don’t you help her? Why
done you raise the questions and also why is she being victimised by the
very people who speak volumes about the issue and claim to be big social
activists?
Eventually I had filed a private complaint under PC –PNDT act under section
5 and 6 against the hospital, doctor, my husband and in laws. After that the
appropriate authorities have filed their case against only the hospital
under section 9. They have filed the case in Rohini Courts, New Delhi . The
next hearing is for 15th April 2009.
What`s the use of all the awareness generation if you cannot help a woman
who wants to save her daughters. What`s the use of all the awareness
generation if the appropriate authorities are hand in hand with those who do
sex determination and the appropriate authorities are trying to shield the
guilty? Till date I am receiving threats that I’ll be killed or my daughters
kidnapped and murdered if I do not withdraw my complaints.

Domestic Violence Act, a Potent Weapon in the Hands of Women - Study Report

May be you are a genuine victim, but the crowd of fake-victims is so big that people wont be able to identify you!!!
The establishment has many ways around sex determination laws and they take liberties by the thousands each day. They make sure that the evidence is removed like in your case and that all women are discredited if possible.
There are many good people, you just have to find them. I wish only the best for you and your precious daughters.
Let’s justice be done in your case !!
Let justice be done in your case !!
I hope my article has some positive response.Genuine victims are often unheard amongst the black sheep. If male domination prevails, androphobia will follow by itself.Foeticide and infanticide,I think is the culmination of female adults being ill treated in various manners. That is what I have focused on. Mrs.Mitu Khuruna’s woes are horrible in spite of living in Capital of India and may not be considered an isolated case. As you rightly said rural areas just as Bihar’s must be under severe brunt.
No doubt still I am a student, perhaps a student till I breath last. Thanks.
You are truly despicable!!!
”Love” is the answer for male domination.
If one has no heart for wife, the male is a beast to appease his sensualism.I happned to travel a long distance in train. There was visually impaired married couple with a child in her arms. The child was fortunately with good vision. None of these two could see each of them. But their whole conversation spinned over only about each others concern and love. I learned from them a lot.
If you go around family courts, they are crowded with women seeking redress through divorce. Reason,”dowry harassment’in most cases. If such male domination persists in an average family, the ”desire” for female child is obviously obscure. Let us think of gender equality.
In nature’s creation both genders are same and this has to be understood in letter and spirit.
I deliberately mentioned ’wife’ in all the conditions (it can be the other way around too) because you have seen the crowd in the family court and you thought that many women got harrassed for dowry!!!!
Normally when marriage sores what Advocates says is ”File dowry cases against HUSBAND instead of Divorce - Adv. Geeta Luthra”
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/23/india-divorces-become-mor_n_190607.html
if you havent noticed my previous post this link would be nice to educate yourself on dowry harrassment cases http://stats.498a.org/
And the aftermath is written here. If you have time and interest you are welcome to see the other side of the coin http://prassoon.instablogs.com/entry/is-marriage-a-life-threat-to-men/
Like to inform you that female foeticide is rampant even in economically prosperous state like Punjab.I have mentioned about it in one my articles:
http://indowaves.instablogs.com/entry/rich-killing-unborn-in-punjab/
@Shafee
The good thing is that awareness in this regard is on rise in our society.A change is being noticed.Let’s reflect it while penning articles on women related issues.
Lastly, please also notice versions of females in trials at family court. You will come to know that how good women are in concocting facts!
It is high time we end this barbaric practice. Now is the time to energise efforts to put gender equality. at the top of international peace and development agenda.
The gravest issue of women is financial dependancy; at least from my perspective.
You may not be the mayor of Houston or the governor of Salt Lake City, but you speak sense. And sensible words are very rare on this platform.
Even if I get negative ratings on my comments from some pissed-up soul, I will stand by my words.
When did I say women are 100% paragon of virtues. Nature’s negative instincts overwhelm women also. Don’t we have women crime busters and women prisons. Of course there are women offenders too. While I speak on women,I refer to normal, persons concerned with decent society and how to reform our India.
Most educated men in India when it comes to matrimony, they negotiate deal of dowry.
I personally feel demanding dowry from a below average woman is a dignified beggary, that to for an educated groom. If the marriage performed in good faith in complying with the promise, and failure of it becomes an altercation. At such event, cannot the groom stand with bride or is he for the dowry? Cannot he forget it (forgive is a word too harsh here)for the sake of love he has for his better-half?.
Few cases are worth mentioning. Some men working abroad who married Indian women on dowry basis, were summoned by courts to appear personally in the court, since their wives were being harassed by the in-laws. Most cases are not exposed by the women out of sheer modesty and for the sake prestige of their own. Some men are apologetic, where the women are on an altar. Hidden cases are more at the back doors.Vayalar Ravi cannot be doubted. There are horrible events where some(I say some) NRIs mostly from Gulf countries marry Indian women, reports are there, that the women are subjugated and forced for illicit actions. They are forced against their will, tortured and intimidated in alien country. Are these not male domination? Please cite few incidences where married women subjected their men for such a crime?

Is marriage a life-threat to MEN?
==================================
http://prassoon.instablogs.com/entry/is-marriage-a-life-threat-to-men/
Come out of hallusionation and see whats going on around!!!
i do not find any ’unemployed or low income men’, unmarried neither do they marry each other.
so of course they get married to women only and that too indian, not imported from bangladesh...
Please listen to Rajagopalan from Houston
Texas.
Thank you Rajagopalan for your factual comments.
Moreover, we need to develop a feeling of sympathy and benevolence in our hearts to help us live in harmony with each other without digging graves for each other.
Further, we need to make some major changes/revisions in our constitution.
Lastly, we all should unite and fight with the anti-social elements to make this society clean.
Only then we all can live peacefully.
I know it is totally impossible to strike such a combination of events. So... let’s do what we are good at. Blame each other... present distorted facts to get an upper hand in debates... use abusive language... cite statements out of context and twist the issue... and create chaos by diverting the whole debate to some other zone.
Come on... let’s start.
Thanks for showing interest in my comments.
However, I appeal to you ...please don’t make Shafee’s post ugly and plz don’t bring your 498A and such stuff here as it may discourage other members to participate in this discussion.
Try to be relevant to the issue which is being discussed here.
You can continue with your women-bashing in some other article... plz spare this article.
Studies in India have indicated three factors of female deselection in India, which are economic utility, sociocultural utility, and religious functions. The factor as to economic utility is that studies indicate that sons are more likely than daughters to provide family farm labor or provide in or for a family business, earn wages, and give old-age support for parents. Upon marriage, a son makes a daughter-in-law an addition and asset to the family providing additional assistance in household work and brings an economic reward through dowry payments, while daughters get married off and merit an economic penalty through dowry charges. The sociocultural utility factor of female deselection is that, as in China, in India’s patrilineal and patriarchal system of families is that having at least one son is mandatory in order to continue the familial line, and many sons constitute additional status to families. The final factor of female deselection is the religious functions that only sons are allowed to provide, based on Hindu tradition, which mandate that sons are mandatory in order to kindle the funeral pyre of their late parents and to assist in the soul salvation.

As you stated perfectly, we have to unite quickly to fight this evil which will only resolve this situation and arrest future such happenings.
Thank you...
Then what could be the reason, from your perspective and based on your bible, for these countries mentioned below having extremely low rate of women?

That is easy, they are all Muslim countries except for Holy See which is the Vatican and not a country at all but the headquarters of the Catholic church.
More proof that religion is dangerous to females? Maybe, and it is certainly part of the problem, but more than likely it is because those countries have huge numbers of male immigrant workers.
i really pray for the well being of you and your daughters.
i always believe that women should keep their mind open when they choose their life partner...i know most of the girls don’t have the say in their marriage but still they should at least try and refuse to get married to somebody who expects dowry from the girl’s family...dowry is the 1st step towards women’s misery...
you can never satisfy your greedy in laws, so its better to take a back step initially.
but the saddest part is that when it comes to daughter in law, women turn out to be their worst enemy. i mean, in your story, you said that how your sister in law said that she doesn’t want to be an aunt to girls and the mother in law of course, has to play her role.
very easily they forget that if somebody would say the same thing for them, how would they feel?
men domination will come later, first we have to deal with our own attitude where we have separate behavior for daughters and daughters in law...
You are great and quick to dig the authentic reports. It’s educative no doubt. What’s good to brag about.
my sister in law Dr Archana got married after me. She left her matrimonial home on third of her marriage, and filed dowry harressment and domestic violence against her husband. at that time she was right. when i filed the same cases against them, than it`s misuse of laws. I agree with Sanwali.
There seems to be no way to gather evidence and prove a case so they are only going on the word of the people involved. They way most doctors indicate the sex of the child to the mother without actually saying or writing is while they are doing the ultrasound is to make a very sad face if it is a girl and an exaggerated happy face if it is a boy. This leaves no evidence. Government officials know it is happening but there is not much they can do about it.
As for that article of 50 million women missing in India, the amount missing from the whole world is now around 160 million. When you consider that men die in wars and work related accidents at much higher numbers than women do, there should be MORE women than men. The fact that this in not is an indication of a world wide problem. We can only hope that someone figures what it is before it is too late.
Your in-depth studies maintain the subject in good taste. It’s really interesting. Thank you.
Ground realities:Misconception of Indian society:
MALE:
1.Male maintains the family progeny.
2.Male is the bread winner and person above all. 3.Supervisor of father’s profession. 4.As per Hindu culture, the one who has to perform last rites 5.For greedy
parents,winner of the dowry.
FEMALE;
1.Fire-burner throughout life for the fear of sex scandal 3.Mismatching groom 4.Expensive marriage, dowry menace 5.Fear of elope on romance 6.Caste partisan on love affair and unnecessary embarrassment on such event.
When these are to change. How many Rajaram Mohanroys should find reincarnation.
Your insurmountable ordeals have made a lead study. The URL http://50millionmissing.wordpress.com/gender-survey/ - which you have referred is quite apt and sufficient to have every say for this blog. For those who unrelenting, let the following quote hit the mind:

Its obvious y u didnt understnt the link btw the title n the examples he cited ur proportion of grey matter was nvr 2 grt.Nyways he was jst citing reasns y parents prefer a male child bcoz they fear that they n their daughters will hv 2 face huge financial prblms come marriage, thats y he stated those examples illustrating the tragic condition of women even in the 21st century, that they r still victimised by such evil practices .The practice of dowry is still thriving n leading to the destruction of many a innocent life.Do u know that the fear of a heavy dowry is a major reason y parents go for a male child.nyways I dnt excpt heartls people like u to understnd.
It was very shockng 2 find out that the feministic organisations too refused u adequate support. Its sad that aafter going through such an inhuman experience u didnt get justice,These stories make me ashamed of our law and order system.I think u should send ur story to some wellknown newspaper.I think that will help attract attention of a lot of people who will b willing to stand beside u.I hope that it will lead to a mass movement and I’ll definitely join in.

complaint to the crime against women cell during my pregnancy itself about
the fact that sex determination was done, and was being pressurized for
M.T.P, but throughout I had requested them not to take any action as i
thought they would mend their ways and accept my daughters.
Thanks.
Like to inform you that female foeticide is rampant even in economically prosperous state like Punjab.I have mentioned about it in one my articles:
http://indowaves.instablogs.com/entry/rich-killing-unborn-in-punjab/
@Shafee
You may not be the mayor of Houston or the governor of Salt Lake City, but you speak sense. And sensible words are very rare on this platform.
Even if I get negative ratings on my comments from some pissed-up soul, I will stand by my words.

Thank you...
i really pray for the well being of you and your daughters.
i always believe that women should keep their mind open when they choose their life partner...i know most of the girls don’t have the say in their marriage but still they should at least try and refuse to get married to somebody who expects dowry from the girl’s family...dowry is the 1st step towards women’s misery...
you can never satisfy your greedy in laws, so its better to take a back step initially.
but the saddest part is that when it comes to daughter in law, women turn out to be their worst enemy. i mean, in your story, you said that how your sister in law said that she doesn’t want to be an aunt to girls and the mother in law of course, has to play her role.
very easily they forget that if somebody would say the same thing for them, how would they feel?
men domination will come later, first we have to deal with our own attitude where we have separate behavior for daughters and daughters in law...
i do not find any ’unemployed or low income men’, unmarried neither do they marry each other.
so of course they get married to women only and that too indian, not imported from bangladesh...
FEMALE;
Quote: ”If you shut up truth and bury it under the ground, it will but grow, and gather to itself such explosive power that the day it bursts through it will blow up everything in its way.” — Émile Zola

He has rightly found out the error,in the headline of this blog,”non agreement of auxiliary verb ”is” instead of ”are”.
He also indirectly teaches the following:

who rendered valuable substance for this blog’s issue. I bid an adieu this blog.
I wish to meet you all again soon.

I’m not saying there is no female foeticide in India at all, but if at all happens, thats in the rural remote area of backward states like bihar rajastan where they have lowest rate of literacy. Those people make less than 25cents a day. Rs10 or less? I’m just guessing, anyway its not more than Rs20 a day. They are living based on a heap of superstitious believes and Laws cant change those. What is needed is to uplift the whole community. Its been over 60years since independance and the Govt never paid any interest to eradicate poverty in rural areas. Female chavinists use these kind of extremely rural or pretty close to tribal instances to make the hue and cry but never bother to spend money or time for uplifting the downtrodden. Women and child development ministry got Rs.7278 Crores in the present budget and over 4000 women NGOs are eating that money with no change in these kind of incidence. Over all men women ratio in India is 100:93 based on the 2008 UN reports. Which is absolutely normal. It doesnt mean male foeticide just because USA has 103 women for every 100 men!!! Even in the 2001 census there was .3% increase in the female population which shows the rising trend.
By spreading false alarm like this author is not doing any good to the society but will create a bunch of androphobic women which will end up as mentioned in the story.
If the intention is not boost up the ”sales of women’s plight” and there by get more grants from govt and UNIFEM, write something which may help improve the self-confidence, self-esteem of women and try to make them understand the necessity of finacial independance.

You are truly despicable!!!
Geeta Luthra”

if you havent noticed my previous post this link would be nice to educate yourself on dowry harrassment cases http://stats.498a.org/

Is marriage a life-threat to MEN?

Come out of hallusionation and see whats going on around!!!
The gravest issue of women is financial dependancy; at least from my perspective.
Then what could be the reason, from your perspective and based on your bible, for these countries mentioned below having extremely low rate of women?
Number of women for 100 men

Qatar 33
United Arab Emirates 49

Is wikipedia wrong? or
is UN wrong? or
are you wrong?
or there is nothing wrong in Indian ratio?

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
That is easy, they are all Muslim countries except for Holy See which is the Vatican and not a country at all but the headquarters of the Catholic church.
More proof that religion is dangerous to females? Maybe, and it is certainly part of the problem, but more than likely it is because those countries have huge numbers of male immigrant workers.
